Victoria is being showcased as one of the world’s top golf destinations through a partnership with Golf.com, the largest online golf media outlet in the United States.

The four-part editorial series includes a review of the Mornington Peninsula which was described as “Northern California, minus the congestion; it was Scotland with nicer weather and better wine.”

The partnership is part of Visit Victoria’s golf tourism strategy, which promotes Melbourne and Victoria’s golf courses to key international and domestic markets.

Golf is a major driver of activity in Victoria’s visitor economy and contributes around $1 billion annually to the local economy while supporting nearly 7,000 jobs.
