Australia Open Golf takes Melbourne Sandbelt to the world
The country’s most prestigious golfing tournament is returning to the world-famous Melbourne Sandbelt.
The Australian Open is being co-hosted at the globally renowned Kingston Heath and Victoria Golf Clubs from 28 November to 1 December 2024.
Supported by Visit Victoria through the Major Events Fund, the 2024 Australian Open will see some of the world’s best golfers return to take part in the tournament.
Golf is a major driver of activity in Victoria’s visitor economy with its capacity to drive year-round visitation, delivering $1 billion with golfers from around the world wanting to experience Melbourne's Sandbelt courses.
Visit Victoria will launch a new golf tourism campaign under the Every Bit Different platform during this event, which will be rolled out across various channels, including online video during broadcast, social media, display ads and print.
Visit Victoria has also partnered with content creators, organised an immersion trip, and collaborated with key trade partners to amplify the event’s reach and encourage extended visitation.
