Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW)

The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is Australia's national tourism database and distribution platform.

The ATDW's function is to help extend your online exposure and attract more business. ATDW profiles provide an online presence at national, state, regional and destination levels through the key online tourism marketing platforms of visitvictoria.comaustralia.com and more.

Businesses and events looking to maximise their exposure through the marketing activities and programs of Visit Victoria and Regional Tourism Boards should ensure they have an up to date ATDW profile with engaging images and copy.

Over 8,700 Victorian tourism and event operators have already listed on the ATDW to extend their online reach. Join them by creating your profile today!

ATDW Profile Fees

In May 2020, the Victorian Government waived the fee for all listings on ATDW in response to bushfires and the pandemic. The annual profile fee returned on 1 July 2023 - more fee information here. Events and not-for-profit businesses remain free to list.

Payment for your renewal can be made directly via the ATDW payment gateway or, depending on which region you operate in, may be part of a membership package through your Regional Tourism Board (RTB). For RTB contact details, please see here.

Visit Victoria is investing in the ATDW platform as part of the Digital Transformation Project. The project will transform the platform, providing digital analytics and insights, cyber security enhancements and new branding. Further information will be provided about the project, which is due to launch in 2024.

What are the benefits of an ATDW profile?

Reach a global audience with one profile

  • A presence for your business or event on the official tourism website for Melbourne and Victoria, visitvictoria.com (with 10.6 million annual visits), australia.com (22.5M annual visits) and many regional and local websites.
  • When visitors plan their trips, they're looking for great experiences, food and drink and places to stay. Great and diverse experiences make our state and regions, must-see destinations.

Enables marketing opportunities

  • When we present our regions strongly with diverse and compelling products and experiences, we attract more visitors. That’s great for your business, it’s great for local economies and it’s great for the region.
  • Opportunities for further exposure through Visit Victoria's data-driven marketing campaigns and programs.

Generates Leads

  • In the year ending 31 December 2023, ATDW generated more than 86,000 leads each month for Victorian tourism operators – and that’s only the numbers measured from visitvictoria.com
  • ATDW drives customers straight to your website without commissions or booking fees.

Maximises online exposure

  • visitvictoria.com/visitmelbourne.com ranks highly on search engines such as Google. For operators, this means that their ATDW profile on visitvictoria.com enables higher Google results, and therefore generates more exposure and leads.

Saves Time

  • Manage just one profile that appears on numerous tourism websites. Update at any time on the easy to use ATDW-Online platform and have your changes automatically published across the network.
  • Visit Victoria helps you to create a high quality listing that meets online content standard. Your profile is reviewed and approved by a team member at Visit Victoria, not a robot.
  • You can link your ATDW profile to your Google Business Profile. This functionality allows the changes you make to your ATDW Profile to automatically update your linked Google Business Profile.
  • Technical support and training from Visit Victoria’s dedicated ATDW team.
