Free ATDW Listings for Victorian tourism businesses

Visit Victoria, in partnership with Regional Tourism Boards and the State Government, is pleased to provide free Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listings until 30 June 2022 to aid COVID-19 recovery efforts.

Effective June 2021, both the renewal of an existing listing and the creation of a new listing will require an ATDW coupon code. A coupon code provides 12 months free listing on the ATDW from the date the code is redeemed.

Coupon codes are dispensed by Regional Tourism Boards and some local councils. Please find contact details further below for more information and to request a coupon code. If your business operates in Melbourne, please visit this page.

How to receive your free ATDW listing

Creating a listing:

  1. Confirm that your business meets ATDW eligibility criteria. If you're unsure of your eligibility, contact us.
  2. Request a coupon code from your Regional Tourism Board or local council. This will be applied at the payment stage of the listing creation process in ATDW-Online. You can find the contact details of your RTB or local council further below.
  3. In the meantime, we recommend you prepare a description of your business. Aim for 2-3 short paragraphs at a maximum of 200 words. You'll also need a selection of five to 10 high-quality landscape images to showcase your business.
  4. Once you have your coupon code, description and images ready, go to www.atdw-online.com.au to register an account and create your listing. You can find some instructions to guide you here.

Renewing a listing:

ATDW listings require renewal every 12 months. Listings can be renewed from 30 days to their expiry or any time after they have expired. Your listing's expiry date can be found on your ATDW-Online dashboard.

  1. Contact your Regional Tourism Board for a coupon code. You should not apply for a coupon code until you receive a renewal notification from ATDW. Coupon codes are not required for Events or NFP organisations
  2. Log in to your ATDW-Online account, locate your listing and click on RENEW
  3. Review and update your listing details
  4. Click on RENEW
  5. Proceed to the payment page and enter your coupon code. Click on APPLY COUPON and PLACE ORDER
  6. Your listing will be processed and republished within 1-2 business days

What is the ATDW and how does it work?

How long are ATDW listings free for?
ATDW listings will continue to be free until June 30, 2022. This applies to businesses creating a new listing or renewing an existing listing.
How to I get a coupon code to activate my free listing?
Contact your Regional Tourism Board for a coupon code.
I operate in an area that is not aligned with a Regional Tourism Board. How do I claim my free listing?
Contact your local council via the details in the above table or contact Visit Victoria's ATDW team at [email protected]

No. Listings for events, NFP or government-owned attractions do not require a coupon code to be published.
What is the eligibility criteria for having an ATDW listing?
Your business or event must have a physical presence in Australia, provide a direct experience to the leisure tourist and fit in to one of the following listing categories: Accommodation; Attraction; Food and Drink; Event; Hire; Tour; Transport and General Service. Tour operators and Accommodation providers must provide a current ABN upon registering an ATDW account.
How do I reset my password to log in to ATDW-Online?
Go to www.atdw-online.com.au and click on the 'Forgot password' link in the top right corner. Enter your username (email address) and an email will be sent to you with further instructions.
