ATDW Newsletter - May 2019

Welcome to the third edition of the Visit Victoria ATDW Newsletter, your dedicated ATDW industry update from the team at Visit Victoria.

We've added new resources to Visit Victoria's corporate website to help you manage your ATDW listing.

You can find simple guides to creating, updating and renewing a listing, browse frequently asked questions or get some tips to optimise your listing.

What's new on

The user experience on is continually improving. Some recent enhancements include:

  • Larger Website and Email buttons on product pages
  • Improving awareness and access to product listing videos via new image and video icons
  • A new Price tab for tour service pages, displaying specific tour prices and inclusions
  • A calendar showing more dates on event pages
  • Ability to place video footage in hero modules

Updates to ATDW-Online

See some of the enhancements made to ATDW-online to help you manage your listing.

Atdw Online
  1. Mandatory images for accommodation types and tour services. Accommodation and tour listings now require at least one image for each room type / tour service.
  2. Property capacity. Accommodation listings are now required to enter the total number of rooms and total sleeping capacity.
  3. New cloning function. You are now able to clone accommodation types, tour services and transport types. Simply click ’MORE...’ in the top right-hand corner of your listing and select ‘clone service.’
  4. Removal of Google+ social channel field as Google is shutting down their Google+ service.
  5. Time to renew, forgot your password? Expiry emails now include password reset instructions so resetting your password is only a couple of clicks away.

ATDW Workshop - Gippsland Tourism Forum

We were recently invited to Destination Gippsland's Tourism Forum to speak to tourism operators, visitor centre staff and local council about the benefits of listing on the ATDW.

As part of the Gippsland rebrand, a new dedicated consumer site will launch soon, powered by ATDW listings.

Weibo and Wechat

If your business or event has a presence on either Weibo or Wechat, you can now add it to your ATDW listing.

These platforms can allow you to communicate with Chinese visitors to Victoria and also to the local Chinese community. 

To add either of these accounts to your ATDW listing, log in to ATDW-online and paste your links to the Social Media section of your listing.

New ATDW distributors

The latest Victorian destinations and organisations to join the ATDW distribution network:

  • Explore Port Phillip - City of Port Phillip have built a mobile first tourism website, powered by ATDW content.
  • Marysville Tourism - Marysville Tourism uses ATDW's customisable white label solution to showcase what's on in the area
  • Lake Eildon - Lake Eildon Tourism have added ATDW's FREE event widget to their website.
