Visit Victoria partners with First Timers Club to drive regional visitation

Visit Victoria has teamed up with local social group First Timers Club to inspire young Melburnians to explore regional Victoria through curated group experiences and vibrant local events.
The first in a three-part event series kicked off on 7 June at the National Celtic Festival in Portarlington, where almost 50 attendees – many visiting the region for the first time – enjoyed a day of music, culture, and community. Tickets sold out in just 12 hours, highlighting the strong appeal of regional events in motivating travel.
Next up, the second event will head to the Phillip Island Whale Festival on 11 July, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience the coastal destination’s seasonal celebrations and attractions.
This initiative forms part of Visit Victoria’s broader campaign to showcase the state’s diverse winter events calendar and boost regional visitation during the traditionally quieter months.
