Our role is to drive visitation and expenditure through destination marketing and a strong pipeline of events to support the visitor economy. We aim to build Melbourne and Victoria into Australia’s number one tourism destination by delivering strong and sustainable growth across priority markets.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director, Corporate Operations will provide strategic leadership to the Corporate Operations business unit to ensure that all corporate statutory and regulatory requirements are met efficiently and effectively. This will be achieved in conjunction with leading a team of highly talented and well-established leaders with specific accountability for financial management, corporate planning, and the provision of high quality, responsive financial, risk, human resources and information services which support Visit Victoria to achieve its corporate goals. With a focus on long-term strategy, you will lead and collaborate with the CEO in setting the organisation’s vision, business and operational strategies. This role will also manage and deliver all functions of the Company Secretary ensuring the efficient administration of Visit Victoria and Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB), including compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and all decisions made by the boards are implemented.

To be considered for this opportunity, Visit Victoria is seeking an experienced inclusive, strategic and dynamic leader with extensive experience in an executive leadership role such as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Director Corporate Services, and with a proven track record leading and developing outcome driven teams in line with organisation’s business objectives. You will need to demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence, have a strong track record of inspiring teams and are viewed as a trusted advisor to the CEO. Commercially astute, you pride yourself on your strategic, financial and analytical skills to support operation and business development. You will be confident to represent the organisation and advocate on its behalf at a senior level to both internal and external stakeholders.
