Visual Content Producer

About the role

As part of a state wide content capture project, aimed at assisting with the recovery of the Australian tourism industry, we have a new opportunity for a Visual Content Producer who will oversee this important initiative for Visit Victoria.

This is a hands on role that is responsible for the relationship between Visit Victoria and Tourism Australia.

As the lead on this project, you will be working closely with a Producer who will report to you, while your skills in project and stakeholder management, pre-production, wardrobe, art direction, colour grading and retouching will be key to your success.

Travel will be required as part of this role.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the content capture project and be the primary contact for Tourism Australia
  • Manage Visit Victoria’s relationships with external photographers/videographers/production businesses to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the project
  • Manage talent selection
  • Provide creative feedback on wardrobe, hair and make up
  • Provide art direction
  • Ensure final visual asset adheres to Tourism Australia’s style guide
  • Ensure shoots are executed on time and within budget
  • Report on project status to the Photography Manager and Tourism Australia and other reporting

Please note this is a fixed term 6 month contract.

Your experience

We are looking for a passionate individual who has a genuine interest in Victoria and who prides themselves on their leadership and production skills.

You will have outstanding time management skills and feel comfortable working towards deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Our ideal candidate will relate to the following:

  • Strong leadership and project management skills and experience
  • Significant experience in photography and video including production, styling and talent selection
  • Superior stakeholder management skills
  • Extensive experience in commercial quality photographic output including art direction and post-production
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of creative service providers with a specific focus on photographers and videographers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop (advantageous)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Tertiary degree in either photography or video (desirable)
