Project Manager, Digital

About the Team

The Strategy & Transformation team leads the organisation’s approach to technology and data insights. The team is responsible for embedding the organisation’s overarching strategy, as well as delivering research, data and key insights from across the tourism sector.

About the role

The Project Manager. Digital is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the major Digital Transformation projects that will provide significant business and customer value across Visit Victoria.  This role will ensure the value delivery, management of any business & technology issues, risk management and alignment of all projects on the Digital roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful delivery and implementation of the approved projects on the Visit Victoria Digital & Technology roadmap at an enterprise level
  • Identify and manage any procurement and related RFP processes required for the organisation’s digital and technology projects
  • Support and implement the necessary change management and process improvement requirements for these projects across Visit Victoria, including the development of all related project communications
  • Lead the development of any related project management and business case documentation for the digital projects with a hands-on approach
  • Identify, monitor and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across all Digital & Technology stakeholders and other key internal stakeholders to deliver the required projects

Your Experience

  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 10+ years) in the delivery of technology and digital projects in medium to large-sized organisations 
  • Excellent understanding of Agile project methodologies and principles 
  • Strong understanding of the current digital marketing/technology and MarTech landscape
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and technical writing skills with an attention to detail
  • Knowledge of government procurement principles and practices would be advantageous
  • Relevant experience across some leading digital platforms and technologies, for example, Content Management Systems, CRM’s, data lakes, email platforms and Google Analytics 360
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Project Management, Commerce / Business, Information Technology, Digital or related business discipline (desired)
