Marketing Automation Coordinator

About the Role

As the Marketing Automation Coordinator, you will assist with the creation, development and implementation of Visit Victoria’s automation and personalisation strategies and associated activity across owned channels including Email and Consumer Website.

Reporting to the Manager, Data Marketing and Analytics, you will work closely with Brand, Content and Marketing Technology teams to support our global go-to-market strategies, with a focus on increasing conversion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and execute marketing automation activity including growing and managing the email database and performing day-to-day email marketing activities such as set-up, scheduling and testing of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns
  • Assist with the development of a customer-centric program which will include monitoring the customer experience across digital assets, using research and analytical tools to drive continuous optimisation of the customer journey
  • Co-ordinate the analysis, quality assurance and reporting of results derived from automation activity including message engagement (open rates, clicks etc.) reporting and online behaviour
  • Develop website personalisation tactics through online behaviour analysis and initiatives to optimise and test changes to the customer experience that increase conversion rates and global marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Support the wider marketing initiative within Visit Victoria with integrated automation and personalisation activity through providing audiences and content when required.

Know How

  • Experience with Email Service Providers, and Marketing Technology Platforms 
  • Proficiency in A/B and multivariate testing (ideally in web personalisation)
  • Experience with A/B Split Testing Software is required (e.g. Hotjar, Crazy Egg)
  • Strong understanding of the current digital marketing and advertising landscape 
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills and experience
  • Excellent project management skills and high attention to detail 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • A tertiary qualification would be desirable in any of the following: business, data, digital marketing, tourism, marketing, communications or advertising.
  • 1-2 years experience in a marketing automation role
