Manager Marketing Services

About the Role

This position reports to the Amplification Manager and is responsible for managing the delivery of Visit Victoria's key marketing projects and agency relationships globally.

In this role you will guide internal stakeholders to maximise their marketing approach, liaise with agencies and be a partner with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of Visit Victoria's business objectives and strategies.

This role will see you develop and build stakeholder relationships within Visit Victoria, government, our suite of global and domestic advertising, campaign production, media planning and buying agencies and to support the wider business on the implementation of a wide variety of marketing campaigns and activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice and recommendations to manage and guide the implementation of Visit Victoria's marketing strategies including the management of Visit Victoria's agencies globally.
  • Manage the performance and relationship with key Visit Victoria marketing agencies and provide procurement support across the business to ensure objectives are met.
  • Work with the wider Customer Experience team to implement local marketing and advertising campaigns including paid media planning, creative development and implementation.
  • Provide specialist advice and contribute to the planning and delivery of international media and marketing campaigns.
  • Evaluate and provide specialist advice, recommendations and direction on various media and advertising opportunities that are presented to Visit Victoria.
  • Manage the integrity and consistency of the Visit Victoria brand in all advertising and communications channels.
  • Provide high level advice on advertising and media campaigns, issues, trends, competitor advertising activities and strategies to optimise Visit Victoria's advertising and marketing budget.
  • Prepare high level briefings, Board Papers, associated correspondence and presentation regarding advertising and media campaigns.

Your Experience

  • An excellent understanding of integrated marketing and communication strategies, key advertising and media principles and processes.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of advertising and marketing campaigns.
  • Sound experience in stakeholder management and a solid track record in dealing with large-scale advertising and media agencies to deliver high profile consumer marketing initiatives.
  • High level planning and project management skills, including experience in budget management and proven ability to plan and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • High level communication skills, ability to write high quality advertising and media briefs, briefings and correspondence and deliver high level presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level understanding of tourism brands, communications and advertising trends and how changing consumer trends and behaviours have affected these areas.
  • A tertiary qualification in any of the following: tourism, marketing, communications or advertising would be desirable.

Other Requirements

  • This position has a requirement to work out of hours, and it will involve evening or weekend work including occasional overnight travel.
  • This position is located in Melbourne
