About the role:

An exciting opportunity presents itself at the MCB within the busy and self-driven Partnerships and Events team for an Events Manager.

The Events Manager is responsible for driving the retention of members through the development, planning and delivery of MCB event activities, including AIME, Partner Events, Business Development Events, Industry Events, Education Events, MCB Christmas Function, MCB AGM, and other department specific functions as required. 

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Oversee the implementation of the strategy and delivery of AIME
  • Development and implementation of MCB AIME Uncover Melbourne program including concept development and delivery of all program activities
  • Management of MCB calendar of events
  • Stakeholder management & event sponsorship
  • Manage and maintain MCB’s CRM to ensure accuracy of data and information
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of branding

About You:

  • 4 - 5 years of project management experience
  • Proven experience in managing events; including concept development through to onsite delivery
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • High attention to detail
  • High-level judgement and decision-making ability
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience developing and managing third party suppliers and supply negotiation
  • Experience in securing sponsorship for events and activations
  • Autonomous work ethic and collaborative mindset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to think both creatively and analytically
  • Experience pitching to B2B clients
  • Flexible and adaptable to working outside of core hours
