Digital Project Coordinator

About the Role

The Digital Project Coordinator’s primary role will be to work with internal client sponsors and stakeholders to coordinate digital projects and document business and functional requirements for Visit Victoria’s marketing technology projects and platforms. Reporting to the Development and Technology Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality communication and documentation that will enable the Visit Victoria Marketing teams to build world class experiences for users and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for internal stakeholder engagement, project coordination and reporting for key digital/platform/development projects for Visit Victoria.
  • Project manage and administer key digital/marketing technology and digital platform development projects such as enhancements to
  • Coordinate workshops, gather requirements, document acceptance criteria, user stories and priorities.  Maintain and control costs, schedules, vendor resources and quality of project work; ensuring that projects run on budget, on time and meets expectations.
  • Contribute to user acceptance testing to maximise the successes of projects and validate project outcomes.
  • Utilise analytics, research and evidenced based user testing to align project design and deliverables with the organisation's marketing strategy and digital enablement.

Your Experience

  • Project coordination experience with a track record of delivering successful, agile or iterative technology projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in a relevant project management methodology e.g. Agile software development, Kanban development, or Prince2.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a group.
  • An understanding of the digital landscape and demonstrated understanding of the software development life-cycle in the context of web or mobile projects.
  • Experience working on software implementation, with software development teams or vendors.
  • Business or technical analysis experience, preferably gained in an online context gathering and documenting business or technical requirements.
  • Bring strong analytical skills to bear on projects, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Tertiary Qualification in any of the following: Project management, business analysis or relevant online technology field would be well regarded.

Other Information

  • This position has a requirement to work out of hours, and it will involve evening or weekend work including occasional overnight travel.
  • This position is located in our Melbourne Office
