About the role:

The Business Development and Research Coordinator position is an integral part of our Sales team. Reporting to the Associate Director, Business Development and Bids, the Business Development and Research Coordinator is responsible for researching and evaluating prospects/leads for the Business Development team and presenting them with the most viable opportunities for further review and qualification.

This role would best suit someone who is well organised, results driven and looking to develop their career in research and/or business development.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Researching prospective Business Event opportunities
  • Progressing qualified business opportunities to Senior Business Development Managers for further development
  • Review lead pool to identify potential growth
  • Maintaining data accuracy in CRM (SimpleView)
  • Providing reports and data analysis to the sales team 
  • Assisting with special projects, as required 

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, with an ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Persistent and outcome focussed
  • Team player who uses initiative to problem solve
  • Knowledge of the Associations, academic and/or business events industry desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications desirable
