ATE20 Volunteer

About the Role

The ATE20 Volunteer will play a key role in greeting and meeting international delegates, help set up and assist in organising information kits, assist with directions and attend events promoting the Australian Tourism Exchange 2020.  

Volunteers will be required between 4 - 15 May. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of a range of engaging and interesting activities and events that support and promote the Australian Tourism Exchange 2020.
  • Assist with the logistics, transport of participants to and from program activities and events
  • Assist with setting up program venues, activities and equipment and ensure program venues, vehicles and equipment are left in a good condition and equipment is safely stored.
  • Attend any relevant briefing, de-briefing and training sessions relevant to the safe delivery of ATE20 activities and events
  • Assist in the delivery of information kits, brochures and promotional material to delegates and suppliers.
  • Work in accordance with all Visit Victoria’s policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the collection and maintenance of project records and reports, such as pre and post feedback, surveys, photos and statistical information. 
  • Understand, reinforce and promote the brand story of Melbourne & Victoria through various activities and promotions. 

Your Experience

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Well-developed administration and organisational skills
  • Proven ability with the use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Understanding of Marketing Principles
  • Proven ability to facilitate day to day operations and logistics.
  • Well-developed creative, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • A passion for Victoria and Melbourne
  • Understanding of ATE20

Other Information

  • This position has a requirement to work out of hours, and it will involve evening or weekend work.
  • Volunteers will be required between 4 May to 15 May
