VTIC annual Victoria Tourism Conference: 25-26 July 2016, Bendigo

The Victoria Tourism Industry Council is hosting the third annual Victorian Tourism Conference in Bendigo from 25-26 July 2016. The theme 'Experience Evolution' will explore how Victoria's tourism and events industry can best recognise, adapt to, and capitalise on the changing nature of consumers. Read more.

2016 Victorian Visitor Information Centre Summit: 8-10 August 2016, Shepparton

The 16th annual Victorian Visitor Information Centre Summit will examine what makes an accredited visitor information centre (VIC) successful through a comprehensive program of professional development sessions, case study presentations and keynotes that explore what VICs look like moving forward and how they can act as an ultimate driver of economic development. The summit is pitched at Staff Visitor Information Centres, local government and regional tourism bodies. Read more.

India Travel Mission 2016: 18-21 August 2016, India

Registrations are open for Tourism Australia's India Travel Mission (ITM), to be held in Chennai, India from 18 to 21 August 2016. ITM is now held annually due to strong demand from the Australian industry and the Indian travel trade, supported by the growing interest and awareness in travel to Australia from India and increased air capacity between the regions. The event provides an opportunity for representatives from the Australian tourism industry to establish business relationships with key qualified travel agencies and tour operators from India, including the main cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Pune.  ITM16 includes pre-scheduled meetings between Buyers and Sellers, and opportunities to network at official event functions. Victoria's International Exchange (VIE): 15 November 2016, Melbourne

The annual Victorian International Exchange event features a series of interactive sessions for Victoria's tourism businesses and organisations who are active in the international marketplace to learn about the current trends within the international market place and identify opportunities. 2016 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards 

Operators entering the 2016 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards must nominate by Friday 22 July. There are 27 business categories and 3 that recognise individuals with submissions due in September. Winners will be announced at the Gala Ceremony on Thursday 24 November at the Palladium at Crown. Tickets on sale soon. Read more.
